The Shakira Copacabana 2026 show is now official. On May 2, 2026, the Colombian superstar will perform for free at Praia de Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro as part of the event “Todo Mundo no Rio.”

Rio’s City Hall confirmed the concert on February 11. Shortly after, Mayor Eduardo Paes shared a video of the singer on social media and publicly confirmed her participation.

Shakira Copacabana 2026 Show: Date and Time

Shakira will take the stage at 9:45 PM on May 2. In addition, organizers plan an opening act, although they have not yet announced the artist.

The concert will air live on TV Globo, Multishow and Globoplay. As a result, audiences across Brazil will be able to follow the event in real time.

Part of the “Todo Mundo no Rio” Series

The Shakira Copacabana 2026 show becomes the latest edition of the “Todo Mundo no Rio” series. Previously, Madonna performed in 2024, and Lady Gaga headlined in 2025. Both events drew massive crowds to Copacabana Beach.

Meanwhile, Shakira signed her contract on Tuesday, February 10, with Bonus Track, the production company led by Luiz Oscar Niemeyer.

Shakira’s Current World Tour

The Copacabana concert fits into her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.” Currently, she is touring Latin America and recently performed in El Salvador at Estádio Mágico González in San Salvador.

Last year, she returned to Brazil after an eight-year absence to launch the tour linked to her latest album, “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.” Therefore, the Rio beach concert marks another major moment in her connection with Brazilian fans.

A Major Event for Rio in May 2026

Large free concerts on Copacabana Beach have become key cultural events for the city. Now, the Shakira Copacabana 2026 show continues that tradition and strengthens Rio’s position as a global entertainment stage.

With national live broadcasting and international media attention, the event is set to place Copacabana once again at the center of the global spotlight.
